About Indian Network for Soil Contamination Research

The scientific vigor of INSCR conferences is always excellent.

Indian Network for Soil Contamination Research was established in early 1999, in the wake of organizing an international conference on the subject of environmental pollution.

Event Description

6th- International INSCR Conference 2021

The Industrial Revolution has led to a global problem of soil contamination. Soil is a natural resource and its loss and degradation directly impacts the food we eat, the water we drink, the air we breathe, our health and the health of all organisms on the planet. Healthy soils are the key to food security and our sustainable future. They help sustain food production, mitigate and adapt to climate change, filter water, and improve resilience to natural disasters like flood, drought affecting the world economy.

Importance of soil

In 2002, the International Union of Soil Sciences (IUSS) made a resolution proposing the 5th of December be World Soil Day in order to celebrate the importance of soil as a critical component of the natural system and as a vital contributor to human well-being.

Registered society

Indian Network for Soil Contamination Research (INSCR) was established in early 1999. Indian Network for Soil Contamination Research-INSCR is a registered society under the society’s registration act XXI of 1860 with registration no. 34693 dated 22nd April 1999.
